Why do they carve out time for crime?
A question people ask criminals but also crime media consumers.
Each of the media platforms I will be using to promote my long form article have similar followers but the material I promote is different and done differently.
When I post to LinkedIn I prioritize my professional appearance. I will share, engage, and promote with media that corresponds with my career goals because it shows employers and peers my accomplishments.
I will be writing about my favorite media to consume, crime media so while I will be writing formally I will also writing about something I enjoy on my own time. When I posted weekly on LinkedIn about my Travel Blog I focused on inviting conversation and suggestions for my future travels. Those blogs enabled me to show my personality and this article is similar.
I am an American that is proud to say I am part of the 50% who enjoy true crime media. I have consumed film, television, songs, podcasts, and books about crime over my life time, but this doesn’t mean all crime media is good media.

Story/Highlight
I find that I get most engagement from my Instagram and Facebook stories and highlights. I would post the graphic below with a link to my article on the day of release, two days later, and after one week. Additionally this would be saved to my Instagram highlight so more people can find it again if needed.

I am not a X (Twitter) user but I do know there is a limited word count and a humored audience.
One way to promote would be with gifs from crime based tv shows, movies, and documentaries. and a link to my article.
