Photography, Videography + Editing

At Cheshire High School I was introduced to the world of creating and editing video. In Fall 2019 I learned the basics of videography and Adobe Premiere Pro in Digital Video Productions 1 with Mr. Keith Moyer. In Spring 2020, during the Covid-19 quarantine, I took Digital Photography with Mr. Dan Warburton who taught me the how darkrooms work, the basics of a digital camera and Adobe Photoshop. In Fall 2020 I expanded my learning of Video Production and Editing in Digital Video Productions 2 with Mr. Keith Moyer. This course was asynchronous, I would film at home, learn the software program in class to then finish the project at home.

In applying to Quinnipiac University I was a Film, Television and Media Arts Major. During Fall 2021 I attended two video production courses. In single camera production with Professor Michael Schleif, I worked with a UX-90 camera and learned different audio and lighting techniques. In multi-camera production with Professor Peter Sumby I learned principles of tv and film studio productions in the all-digital 4K television studio. I have gained knowledge on the tools of Adobe Premiere Pro through both courses. In Spring 2022 I officially changed my major and declared my minor in Film & Television Production/Writing. In Spring 2023 I attend Intermediate Productions with Professor John O’Brien I learned the Sony A7 II camera, Final Draft 12 and Movie Magic. In addition to these two screenwriting programs we utilized Adobe Premiere Pro on all projects in the course.
