Maeve Catherine

In October 2024 I took a visual storytelling course and drew this three act story of a piece of corn becoming popcorn. The visual story can help encourage young kids to wear sunscreen while at the beach or it could be made into a popcorn advertisement at a movie theater. I utilized the program Adobe Fresco.

In September 2023 I began working for Quinnipiac University’s Communications and Marketing Department and specifically focused on helping QU’s School of Business. I prepared and distributed communication, including emails, newsletters, invitations, social media posts, and print materials.

During Summer 2024 I was a social media intern for the Eleanor Roosevelt Center. I utilized the graphic design program Canva and the graphics were posted to their Facebook, Instagram, and sometimes Tik Tok pages.

The Agency at QU

In August 2023 I became the Vice President of Graphic Design at The Agency and worked with the Agency Account Executives to communicate with audience. I created visually stunning marketing materials that were posted to social media platforms, such as Instagram and Tik Tok.

In August 2023 I became the Vice President of Graphic Design at The Agency and worked with the Defend the Den team to bring ideas to life. I created visually stunning marketing materials that were posted to Instagram and around Quinnipiac University’s campus.

During Summer 2023 I was a graphic design intern at Bozzuto’s Inc. I returned to Bozzuto’s Inc in December 2023 and continued working part time until August 2024. I improved my Adobe InDesign skills through creating and correcting base ads, flyers, posters, emails, and more for IGA stores.

Residential Assistant

During the 2022/23 and 2023/24 school years I provided information and resources about Quinnipiac to first year students through different forms of media. I primarily utilized the graphic design program Canva and the graphics were posted physically and on Instagram.

In the late Summer 2022, I utilized skills of Adobe Illustrator to create this graphic of the Statue of Liberty. This piece is a continuation of the “The Bucket List” collection from my Spring 2022 Visual Design Course.

In September 2022 I joined QU PRSSA as a Social Media Committee Member. In July 2023, I earned the role of Social Media Chair. In both roles, I utilized the graphic design program Canva and the graphics were posted to the QU PRSSA Instagram.

During Spring 2022, I attended a 15 week Visual Design Course. Through this course I was taught the tools and skills of Adobe programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

In July 2020 I began experimenting with Adobe Illustrator Draw, now apart of Adobe Fresco, and drew a group photo of me and my friends.
